Visit this first-class facility located on the site of the 1858 Charleston, IL Lincoln-Douglas debate. Take a self-guided tour of the only museum in Illinois retracing the seven senatorial debates of 1858 between Abraham Lincoln and Stephen A. Douglas. The museum offers exhibits and interactive displays that tell the story of the debates through film, audio selections, artifacts, and photos. The museum also offers a children's hands-on area. Group tours available by appointment. Donations accepted.
